Published by Afroamerican Publishers, Inc., 141 West 125th Street (Harlem) New York (City) in 1960.  8vo (5.5 x 8.5 inches), 82 pages.  Reversed frontis photo of the Committee To Present The Truth Abouth The Name "Negro" as well as a photo of the Afro-American Cooperative Association, Inc. between pages 30 and 31.  Last page is a list of selected books available from the Frederick Douglass Book Center (at the same address listed at the bottom of the title-page).
In overall good condition with minor wear and soiling to covers (creasing on front and small tear at top of back); minor soiling on page 17 as well. Rest of text is remarkably clean and crisp for an item cheaply produced and given its age.

Richard B(enjamin) Moore (1893-1978) was a Barbados-born African-Caribbean civil rights activist and prominent Socialist.  He was one of the earlier advocates of the term African-American, as opposed to Negro, or "black."
NB: There appears to have been another 1st edition of this title published in 1960 by Afroamerican Publishers/Argentina Press, 152 E. 23rd St. in New York City.  That edition has the mark printed on the cover as well.  It should also be noted that the title was reprinted in 1992, 1994 and 1997.  This early Harlem first edition uncommon thus.
