Vintage 1940s or 1950s perhaps?  I'm no vise-ologist I just restore and rebuild.  This is only the 3rd Cardinal vise I've seen so there aren't many of them left out in the wild.  I restored one of the other two I saw and left the third for someone else to overpay on since the seller was asking a rediculous amount for an unrestored vise.
I chose the colors to pay homage to the old timey days when companies used to actually take pride in their work with quality materials and craftsmanship.
The jaws open to a max working capacity of 3.25" and weighs 12 lbs.  The jaws are 3.25" wide.  Fresh grease applied to the handle screw to ensure smooth operation.  Color is
    cherry red
, 4 coats of paint.  Lettering was done with a gold paint pen.
Flat anvil section is 1 13/16" long by 2" wide
3/4" x 3/8" custom beefy replacable jaws I made myself.  I added the hash marks. This thing will bark like a chihuahua but bite like a pit bull!  New 1/4 - 20 stainless steel allan head countersunk screws.
Jaws were mirror polished on the top inside and sides.
    Examine all pics please!
This is a nice small vise for light duty work.  It would look great in your shop, garage, work bench, or wherever you keep your tool collection.  Great for arts and crafts, small hobby work, etc. when you need a third hand to get a tight grip on something you're working on.  Great for hobbists, knife makers, jewlery makers, etc.
No putty or mud was used in the restoration of this vise.  I do my best to grind off some of the casting marks on the backs of the jaws whenand if they need it but that's about it.  I do not believe in using body filler or putty on a vise.  I strip it down to raw metal, grind down all the marks and gouges on the top of the jaws for polishing, and that's about it before acetone and paint.  Polished parts are raw metal.
Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail either flat rate or regional rate box depending on buyer's location.  The vise will be well padded to prevent damge in shipping.
Add me as a favorite seller, check out my other items, and ask if you want to bundle something.  I'll bundle things to save on shipping costs.  Last picture is of some of my current vise inventory.  Check out my other listings.
