    Description:
    I bought this at an on-line auction a few years ago. The colors just jumped out for me.
    I am changing over my collection and putting this piece up for sale.
    This ewer is marked Shinmamura Factory which produced from 1868 – 1912. I'm advised this piece probably dates from before 1891.
    The ewer is just short of 10.5” to the highest point.
    The diameter of the base is 4”.
    It is decorated with roses, a geometric in bright pink, accents in green, some raised dots, and gold scrolls and gilding.
    Marked on the bottom in blue.
    Condition
    :
    No chips.
    There is a hairline crack near the handle that looks to be only on the surface (please see the close-up photo).
    There is some loss to the gilding..
